Excluding files based on readlink $file would be nice to have. As an example, anything that symlinks to somewhere under $HOME/code/dotfiles is handled by my dotfiles system. --mathstuf

I could see making the backup plugin have hooks to extend exclusions so that an other plugin could provide this functionality. However, it looks fairly specific, so I don't think I'll write a plugin myself. Anyone who does, please send patches to the mailing list, I'll be happy to consider them. done - -liw
